daniel iglesias jr

daniel iglesias jr. was raised in the outskirts of los angeles, where a melting pot of cultures influenced his artistic sensibilities at a young age. he went on to study screen acting at chapman university, where he received his bfa in acting performance. yet, despite being a performer, he spent nearly all of his time down the road at the university's renowned film school, where he simultaneously studied filmmaking. as both an actor and a filmmaker, daniel has the unique ability to direct from both perspectives - to work skillfully behind the camera, as well as with the performers in front of it. during his time in college, daniel directed his first music video for a song called "sweater weather" by his friends' band the neighborhood. the video became an enormous hit, gathering over 250 million views online, which catapulted daniel's directing career while still in the middle of school. since then, daniel has directed over 50 videos, films, and spots for companies such as capitol, ralph lauren, chrysler, and vogue, to name a few. his fashion film work has received international recognition - his film for margaux the agency was recently awarded best creative concept at the international fashion film awards in la jolla, among 5 other nominations - and his directorial capabilities span everything from narrative storytelling to the avant-garde.
