In the commercial space, Leonardi’s most recent accolades include winning two Bronze Lions at Cannes for ‘Cloak vs. Tuna Melt’ – a short film created in partnership between Marvel and Tide timed to the release of “Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness.” and also directing Heineken’s “Shrink Responsibly” nonalcoholic 0.0 beer campaign staring Paul Rudd which aired throughout dry January and culminated with Heineken’s first ever Super Bowl commercial, making several “best commercials of the game” lists. His recent credits include directing second unit for the upcoming Paramount Studios “Transformers: Rise of the Beast” and Netflix global juggernaut “The Gray Man.” In addition to directing second unit, he also served as Head of Story for Disney’s “Jungle Cruise.” As an artist, he helped lay the foundation for some of the most impactful scenes in Marvel films to date, including the introduction of Black Panther in “Captain America: Civil War” and Iron Man’s farewell in “Avengers: End Game.” He also worked on “Pirates of the Caribbean,” “Rango,” and “Game of Thrones,” among others. Leonardi is a fourth generation Angeleno working in the film industry.
